Sons of Anarchy

Published by DaFrog under Motorcycles, Opinion

Here we go again! Another bullshit show about the dark side of the motorcycle community. I got a real bad feeling about this one. Just when the image of the biker community is beginning to turn around after all those really dumb b-grade movies that came out in the 60s and 70s along comes a show concentrating on the criminal elements of some motorcycle clubs.

It should be good for a few laughs for those of us who live the biker lifestyle. But it is also going to make for some uncomfortable conversations with our friends and co-workers who don’t. I’m sure it will be more exciting than a show about Toys for Tots  and other charity runs we all participate in. It will not show the sacrifice of  those of us who have stood flag lines at the funerals of our fallen heroes over the past few years. And I know most people will forget all the good deeds performed by bikers and our clubs. They will think we are all a bunch of hard drinking, gun running thugs.

The thing to remember is it is just a tv show. It has to be better than the clowns on OCC. As long as there is a lot of bikes and riding it should be interesting.

Oh well, there isn’t much any of us can do now,  anyway. I know all of us who are patch holders will be asked a bunch of dumb questions over the next few months. But then outsiders have been asking dumb questions for years. Keep them guessing. Maybe they’ll pay a little more attention, hang up their cellphones and get out of our way.

Rumor Mill – Obama Snubs Troops in Afghanistan

Published by DaFrog under Military, Opinion, Political, Veterans

I’m sure every one has gotten the email smearing Obama about his visit to Afghanistan. You know the one, written by Battle Captain (WFT? I never heard of that one before) Jeffrey S. Potter. In the letter Potter states that Barrack Obama got off the plane, ignored the troops and traveled in an armored vehicle to visit with the brass.

Well the whole letter is a hoax. But the good captain really did write it . . . to his folks back in the states. He is distressed that they sent his lying words around the globe. Honestly, I don’t think much of either candidate, but I do like to see things handled truthfully. We have a captain serving in the Army, who, in violation of the Code of Military Justice, has released not only a lie, but also publicly published a political statement.
We don’t need officers who lie to their families. If they would lie to their own people you know damn well they would lie to their comrades, the army and  public. Captain Potter should be kicked out of the service before he gets someone killed by his fabrications.

That said I would like to stress that I don’t think either candidate, McCain or Obama is worth their salt. They are both eager to give the country away to the hordes of illegal alien invaders to our south. As far as I’m concerned the determining factor in which way  I vote  will depend entirely who they choose for a running mate.

Meanwhile, Captain Potter and all the rest of the rumor mongers and bullshit artists should start looking for other employment. I wouldn’t trust Potter as a school crossing guard, the only place he’d fit in comfortably is in congress or the White House.

Santa In Boot Camp

Published by DaFrog under Military, Veterans

Every year in VFW and American Legion Posts across the country veterans get together to make Christmas a little brighter for children. This year my own VFW post was informed that our traditional Santa was retiring and this would be his last year. Naturally we were disturbed and have begun a search for a new Santa.

Being a Santa is a difficult and thankless job. It takes a special breed of man to become Santa. So now the search is on. The clip above demonstrates some of the trials and tribulations a man has to go through before he can call himself “a Santa”.

Iraq/Pakistan Border?

Published by DaFrog under Opinion, Political

Senator McCain does it again. His ignorance is really showing. But then what can we expect? Perhaps he was looking at his atlas, you know the one with Czechoslovakia on it. Of course he was lucky with his Czechoslovakia gaff because nobody knows how to spell it anyway, much less find it.

Haven’t we had about enough public embarassment from the White House the last seven and a half years? Do really need another ignorant, bull headed moron to represent us to the rest of the world? Lets give the late night comedy hosts something else to talk about.

I don’t think much of Obama, but I think even less of old John. Why doesn’t he just retire?

FHP Wants Bikers to Dress Like Fruit Salad

Published by DaFrog under Motorcycles, Opinion, Safety

There is a new drive in Florida to change bikers riding habits. The FHP would like to see a dress code for bikers. Their recommendation, bright, neon clothing so drivers can see them better. What a waste of breath and tax payer money this move is.

The Florida Highway Patrol never expected that its “Ride Proud. Dress Loud” safety campaign would persuade all bikers to adorn themselves in brightly colored chaps. But the patrol says one of the greatest dangers to bikers is other motorists who don’t see them. (Source: St Petersburg Times

Hey, we’ve been riding loud for years and the cagers either can’t hear us or they complain that they can hear their cell phones over our engines. Until these drivers hang up and pay attention to what they are doing it is going to continue to be a blood bath for bikers out there.
Naturally when you read the article take note of the comments. There are a lot of people out there who simply hate bikers. They are the ones who run us off the road, soak us on wet roads and generally think the road is theirs and nobody else has a right to use it. Of course they bring out the old saw, “helmets should be mandatory.” Well for once I agree. Everybody driving a cage should be required to wear one. Then maybe they’d get of the phone and pay attention.
While the FHP wants to impose the dress code why don’t they heed their own advice. They should all be required to wear hot pink uniforms while they are on motorcycle duty. But wait, then they couldn’t hide behind billboards with impunity anymore.

World Court – Don’t Execute Mexicans

The World Court in the Hague, Netherlands today ordered that the United States place a hold on the execution of five Mexican criminals in Texas. In typical Bush fashion the President thumbed his nose at the order and stated that the World Court doesn’t have jurisdiction in the case. He’s right, we are no longer members of the rest of the global community. We rank right there with Saudi Arabia, China, Iran and the few other world powers who still execute offenders.

On the other hand, who are these Mexicans the World Court is so worried about? Well they are not good neighbors, that is for sure.

The first of the Mexicans, Jose Medellin, is scheduled to be killed by lethal injection on Aug. 5 for taking part in the gang rape and murder of two teenage girls 15 years ago. (Source: KFDA NewsChannel 10)

You can bet the other Mexicans on death row are just as bad as Medillin. Apparently there another 50 Mexicans enjoying our hospitality on Death Row, not to mention the tens of thousands Mexicans presently residing as guests in our prisons across the country for less serious offenses.

If our leaders in Washington were looking our for our safety, security and well-being they would get off their asses and halt this invasion of our country at the border. Hundreds of murder victims would still be among us and thousands of others would never have been victimized in the first place. It is time we erected that damn fence from one end of the Mexican/American border to the other and placed machinegun towers and land mines between us and the lawless, rouge nation south of our border.

These criminals crossing our borders illegally should be dealt with quickly. As soon as they are detected they should be deported. If they commit a crime they should be incarcerated. And each and every one of them who entered the country illegally is a criminal by virtue of their crossing our borders without authorization and they should all be sent home.

The greatest source of identity  theft in this country is illegals steeling our social security numbers so they can work here. They should be pursued, prosecuted and those employers who hire them should be punished. Better yet, send them south of the border with their illegal workforce.

The soverign nation of Mexico needs to improve the life of its citizens or this invasion will never cease. As long as the prospect of life on the run or in an American prison is more appealing than remaining in their homeland we will continue to suffer the ill effects of these unwelcome guests.

Only In America!

Published by DaFrog under Political, Safety

The fire season is upon us. Record droughts plague much of the country and the dry weather has made much of the west coast a tenderbox. So what are the politicians and ACLU doing about it? They are politising the problem by forcing managers who have even a single Hispanic, non English speaking member on their team to speak Spanish or look for work elsewhere. What is wrong with this picture? It seems to me that it should be the other way around. You live here, you work here, you speak English or find a job elsewhere.
