Rumor Mill – Obama Snubs Troops in Afghanistan

Published by DaFrog at 3:42 pm under Military,Opinion,Political,Veterans

I’m sure every one has gotten the email smearing Obama about his visit to Afghanistan. You know the one, written by Battle Captain (WFT? I never heard of that one before) Jeffrey S. Potter. In the letter Potter states that Barrack Obama got off the plane, ignored the troops and traveled in an armored vehicle to visit with the brass.

Well the whole letter is a hoax. But the good captain really did write it . . . to his folks back in the states. He is distressed that they sent his lying words around the globe. Honestly, I don’t think much of either candidate, but I do like to see things handled truthfully. We have a captain serving in the Army, who, in violation of the Code of Military Justice, has released not only a lie, but also publicly published a political statement.
We don’t need officers who lie to their families. If they would lie to their own people you know damn well they would lie to their comrades, the army and  public. Captain Potter should be kicked out of the service before he gets someone killed by his fabrications.

That said I would like to stress that I don’t think either candidate, McCain or Obama is worth their salt. They are both eager to give the country away to the hordes of illegal alien invaders to our south. As far as I’m concerned the determining factor in which way  I vote  will depend entirely who they choose for a running mate.

Meanwhile, Captain Potter and all the rest of the rumor mongers and bullshit artists should start looking for other employment. I wouldn’t trust Potter as a school crossing guard, the only place he’d fit in comfortably is in congress or the White House.

I’m willing to bet the whole thing was cooked up by those dudes at BlackWater USA.

BTW…In the U.S. Army infantry, the battle captain is the shift officer in charge within a command post, associated by position and not rank. The battle captain is located in the operations section of a command post and oversees the conduct of command post operations during his shift. The battle captain ensures that relevant information is given to decision makers and works closely with all members of the command group and staff. Most always a REMF!
