McCain’s Desperate Attempt to Pander to the Women’s Vote

Published by DaFrog under Opinion, Political

John McCain just doesn’t get it. As he watches his last chance to become president slip through his fingers he has made one last desperate attempt to shore up his crumbling base. His choice of Sarah Palin demonstrates McCain is totally out of touch with the real world.

John McSame actually believes that the women of this country backed Hilliary because she was one of them. It was not Clinton’s gender that attracted a large following, rather it was her message. McCain’s choice of a right wing, gun toting, Steppford wife from Alaska illustrates how little he really understands about middle class America. By his choosing a nobody as running mate, someone no one ever heard of  is an insult to the intelligence of American women.
Oh, and did we mention, that like so many other politicians she is presently under investigation?

Palin made her name in part by backing tough ethical standards for politicians. During the first legislative session after her election as governor, her administration passed a state ethics law overhaul.

Nevertheless, she is under investigation for her firing of a state official, Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan. She has been instructed to hand over documents and recordings of telephone conversations as part of the inquiry, which grew out of allegations that she sacked Monegan for refusing to fire her former brother-in-law from the state police.

She has denied wrongdoing.

But Palin acknowledged that a member of her staff made a call to a trooper in which the staffer suggested that he was speaking for the governor.

Palin has admitted that the call could be interpreted as pressure to fire state trooper Mike Wooten, who was locked in a child-custody battle with Palin’s sister. She suspended the staffer who made the call. (Source: CNN)

So long John, its been fun. Now you can just go ahead and check yourself into Senior Meadows Rest Home. We all need a break.

Shadow Puppet Masters and the 2008 Election Results

Published by DaFrog under Opinion, Political

Diebold Accidentally Leaks Results Of 2008 Election Early
Florida had the weakest voter turn out in decades yesterday. Some counties reported less than 10% showed up to cast their ballots. It is great that Diebold is there to take care of all this for us. Now we can all look forward to the big show in November.

Veterans & Mesothelioma

Published by DaFrog under Military, Safety, Veterans

Mesothelioma is a serious threat. Many of our Navy Veterans were exposed to Asbestos during their tours of duty. Samantha Catalano of the Mesothelioma & Asbestos Awareness Center submitted the following information to draw this threat to our attention.

There are a variety of health issues unique to veterans – the issue of post-traumatic stress and concerns related to veteran healthcare costs, for instance, are just two of many. However, there is another issue of increasing concern for military veterans, and that is the issue of asbestos exposure and subsequent health implications, including the development of asbestos cancer, also known as mesothelioma.

Veterans may have been exposed to asbestos in various locations while serving the U.S. military. Asbestos was primarily found within insulation, and was used on naval ships, military aircraft, inside military housing, in armories, on military transportation vehicles and even in certain models of artillery. If asbestos was disturbed or damaged, tiny asbestos fibers could be released into the air, putting military personnel at risk of inhalation. If inhaled, the fibers could cling to the pleural lining of the lungs for decades before an individual may begin to suffer from common mesothelioma cancer symptoms.

Because mesothelioma has a latent period of between 20 and 50 years, many veterans, especially WWII vets, found themselves diagnosed with this fatal type of cancer years after they had retired. Upon diagnosis, the great majority of mesothelioma patients will lose their battle with this aggressive disease in less than 2 years. There are various mesothelioma treatment options, but there is no cure.

Any veteran who suspects that they may have been exposed to asbestos while serving our country should speak with a doctor to assess their risk of one day developing mesothelioma cancer.

The Mesothelioma & Asbestos Awareness Center is the web’s leading resource for information related to veterans & asbestos exposure and mesothelioma. Please visit www.maacenter.org for further information.

Songbird McCain American Zero

Published by DaFrog under Military, Opinion, Veterans

It is a shame that John McCain is the best the GOP can come up with for a presidential candidate. The Republican pundits crow about McCain’s long record of public service. They point to his service as a pilot during Vietnam. What they don’t draw attention to his long involvement with lobbyists, his scandalous affair and subsequent divorce from his first wife, they never mention he was one of the Keating Five and heaven help anyone who questions his collaboration with his captors during Vietnam. When are we going to get to listen to his 37 transcripts denouncing the United States while he was held prisoner.

Below is a photograph taken in the Hanoi hospital where McCain was treated for his injuries after being shot down over North Vietnam. According to McCain he was severely beaten for days before treatment. Where are the bruises, black eyes and cuts? He looks pretty well cared for to me.

You’d think after wrecking five Navy aircraft already McCain would have learned how to eject without nearly killing himself.
He likes to compare himself to the likes of Teddy Roosevelt, Truman and Reagan. Roosevelt was a true conservative who established the National Parks to preserve our natural beauty. McCain wants to drill everywhere, right where he is standing. Truman returned contributions from oil companies because he didn’t want anyone to think he was beholden to any large corporations. And Reagan, well what can I say. With Reagan’s deregulation of everything we began this downhill slide into economic ruin. No McCain has little in common with these men, but he does remind us of another military man, General Custer. They both graduated at the very bottom of their class in military academy.
War hero, I don’t think so. Manchurian Candidate, most definitely.

Creationism takes a hit Kalifornia

Published by DaFrog under Historical, Opinion

An insidious thing has happened in America’s schools over the past couple decades. We’ve been cranking out world class dumbbells. Private schools have been teaching mythology along side science and the students have gotten them mixed up. California is putting a stop to it by refusing to recognize many of the courses taught by faith based education systems.

We wonder why all the scientific and technical jobs are going overseas. This is why. We are becoming the laughing stock of the world. What these institutions teach is no more relevant than what is being taught in the radical Islamic schools of the middle east.
We’ve been over this before. Remember our voucher battles here in Florida? Well maybe we should look to California’s example and drive a stake through the heart of these fundamentalist here, too.
Religious schools do not promote critical thinking. Amen.

Meltdown On Fixed News – Adulterous Politicians

Published by DaFrog under Opinion, Political

I have to admit I got a real kick out of Faux Noise the other night. Their token liberal actually grew a pair and questioned St. McCain’s own morality during a conversation about Senator Edwards admission that he had an extramarital affair. I thought Hannity was going to blow a gasket.

Undoubtedly Edwards screwed up. He stepped out on his sick wife and committed political suicide, maybe. But then when Colmes brought up the fact that McCain also left his first wife when she was recovering from serious health issues. McCain’s first wife waited for him the entire time he was in a POW, only to be dumped for a younger woman with a lot of money. Mob money. But then that is okay if your a republican. Geeze, these guys went ballistic trying to justify St. McCain’s indescretions as the result of being a POW, Edwards and Clinton were just a couple dirtbags.

[McCain] retired from the military in 1980, divorced his first wife, wed Arizona native Cindy Lou Hensley and moved here to plunge into the world of politics. His first job in Arizona was as a public affairs agent for Hensley & Company, one of the nation’s largest beer distributors. He was paid $50,000 in 1982 to travel the state, touting the company’s wares. But he was promoting himself as much as he was Budweiser beer. A better job description might have been “candidate.”

Then in 1982, McCain ran for Congress. That takes some quick money, and McCain had access to it– thanks to his father in law (whose employees at his liquor distributorship were ‘persuaded’ to donate thousands of dollars to McCain), and one of Hensley’s friends, Charles Keating of the Lincoln S&L (I won’t get into the Lincoln S&L scandal here because it is pretty well known by now that McCain was one of the ‘Keating Five.’) To seal the deal, Jim Hensley and Cindy Hensley McCain invested $359,100 in one of Keating’s projects. In fact, when McCain first ran for the Senate, in 1986, even Kemper Marley, through his son Kemper Jr. (who was now running United Liquor– Marley himself had become politically radioactive) donated money to him. (Source: Sam Seder)

Sam also brings up the fact that St. John’s first wife kept the home fires burning and a yellow ribbon around the old oak while Johnny languished in the Hanoi Hilton.

McCain dumped his first wife after she had been disabled in an auto accident. Although this woman had worked tirelessly to get him released from captivity, he did not hesitate to betray her with other women upon finding her crippled when he returned home. In fact, McCain has racked up quite a reputation as a womanizer. This time he was determined to do it right. Since he had no fortune of his own, he acquired one through his second marriage. Sampley writes that the senator’s net worth is “possibly as much as $1.2 million or more, excluding personal residences . . . McCain listed his [second] wife, Cindy, as the source of most of his assets. . .” According to the Phoenix Gazette of May 19, 1987, “the bulk of McCain’s assets consisted of stock in the Glendale firms — Hensley & Co., a beer distributorship headed by his father-in-law; Western Leasing Co., which leases trucks and equipment; and Eagle Enterprises, which invests in real estate and stock.”

Anyway, it was a real treat to watch the gang at Fixed News eat their own. Hannity was absolutely desperate in his rationalizations.

Oh, and lets don’t forget the other dirtbag who ran for president, America’s Mayor, Rudy the Rat. He did the same thing. Why can’t these powerful politicians keep their flies up?

John McCain Does Not Approve This Message

Published by DaFrog under Historical, Opinion, Political, Safety

To quote Jack Cafferty, “things are getting ugly out there.”
This is all from the straight talk express. What an asshat, I think everyone is really about fed up with all this negative bullshit. Why don’t they address the problems we face and quit ripping each other to shreds. Oh, I forgot, McInsane is just another four years of McBush. We’ll never get a straight answer from any of these guys.
Remember this John?
