Songbird McCain American Zero
It is a shame that John McCain is the best the GOP can come up with for a presidential candidate. The Republican pundits crow about McCain’s long record of public service. They point to his service as a pilot during Vietnam. What they don’t draw attention to his long involvement with lobbyists, his scandalous affair and subsequent divorce from his first wife, they never mention he was one of the Keating Five and heaven help anyone who questions his collaboration with his captors during Vietnam. When are we going to get to listen to his 37 transcripts denouncing the United States while he was held prisoner.
Below is a photograph taken in the Hanoi hospital where McCain was treated for his injuries after being shot down over North Vietnam. According to McCain he was severely beaten for days before treatment. Where are the bruises, black eyes and cuts? He looks pretty well cared for to me.
You’d think after wrecking five Navy aircraft already McCain would have learned how to eject without nearly killing himself.
He likes to compare himself to the likes of Teddy Roosevelt, Truman and Reagan. Roosevelt was a true conservative who established the National Parks to preserve our natural beauty. McCain wants to drill everywhere, right where he is standing. Truman returned contributions from oil companies because he didn’t want anyone to think he was beholden to any large corporations. And Reagan, well what can I say. With Reagan’s deregulation of everything we began this downhill slide into economic ruin. No McCain has little in common with these men, but he does remind us of another military man, General Custer. They both graduated at the very bottom of their class in military academy.
War hero, I don’t think so. Manchurian Candidate, most definitely.
Da Frog…I’m not surprised at all. Both parties seem to be gluttons to conformity, fans of the status quo. Our great Republic has become a Roman circus.
McCain is as unfit for office as Bush and Cheney and others. He’s mentally damaged and emotionally and ethically sick if not dead.
