This is a question on everyone’s mind. The internets have been all over this rumor the past few days. And rather than provide the evidence necessary to prove he did not, Glenn Beck has chosen instead, to attack the First Amendment Rights of the blogger who posed this rhetorical question to the American public. Mr. Beck, a conservative comedian with the Fox News Network, is now the brunt of tactics he uses regularly on his show to damage the reputations of those he does not like or agree with.

The controversy started a week ago in the Fark forums, where someone picked up on an old Gilbert Gottfried roast of the “comedian” (scare quotes fully intended) Bob Saget. During the roast, Gottfried repeatedly said (watch the video) that Saget had “not raped and killed a girl in 1990.” The Fark forums took the joke about the power of insinuation and applied it to right-wing talk show host Glenn “Obama is a racist” Beck.

One of the Fark readers then took the forum meme to the next level, registering a domain name and launching a web site in order to make a point about talking head TV demagoguery. “Why won’t Glenn Beck deny these allegations?” asks the site. “We’re not accusing Glenn Beck of raping and murdering a young girl in 1990—in fact, we think he didn’t! But we can’t help but wonder, since he has failed to deny these horrible allegations. Why won’t he deny that he raped and killed a young girl in 1990?” At the very bottom of the page was a small text disclaimer saying that the site was satirical.

I spoke to the anonymous owner of the site, who tells Ars that launching it “just felt right”—it flipped the “birther” non-falsifiable conspiracy theories about Obama’s birth and citizenship around and applied the same tactics to one of the biggest talking heads (no pun intended?) on cable news. It’s just “using Beck’s tactics against him” and is a small way of “directing all this frustration” with Beck and others into action. (Source: ARS Technica)

Like everyone else who’s read about this online rumor I have questions about its verity. So like so many others I went to the Yahoo answers page and found some enlightening and thought provoking answers to the question “Did Glenn Beck Rape and Murder a Young Girl in 1990. Their best answer was:

Look, I don’t know if it’s true that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl in 1990, but if it isn’t, Glenn Beck, alleged 1990 murderer and rapist, should produce the girl he didn’t rape and murder in 1990 so that this matter can be cleared up. All we want is proof. What is he trying to hide?

Oh, and when he produces the girl he allegedly did or didn’t rape and murder in 1990, it won’t be accepted unless she’s in the long form.

Source(s):

No sources, as the MSM seems to be covering up the story of Glenn Beck allegedly raping and murdering a girl in 1990. (Source: Yahoo)

Needless to say this was a very disturbing non-answer to my question and left more questions than answers. We all know that Mr. Beck is not beyond talking about <a href="http://foxnewsboycott.com/glenn-beck/glenn-beck-jokes-about-poisoning-nancy-pelosi/ " target=_"blank">murdering Nancy Pelosi. And we also know about Mr. Beck’s perchance for violence. In 2001 he talked about people he’d like to beat to death. None of this readily available information reflects kindly on Mr. Beck.

So then we had to visit the website that brought this whole fiasco to the public eye. It is an obvious parody site, full of satire, but very fair and balanced in its presentation.

But like so many in America, now we will wonder why Glenn Beck hasn’t produced the police report clearing him of these insinuations?

Senile old coot and consumate asshat John McCain critizes President Obama’s handling of the economy. He has been whining about the lack of bipartisan effort on the part of the Obama administration to resolve the financial crisis the country now faces. He believes that Obama is on the wrong path and should listen more closely to the side of the aisle that got us into this mess.

“It was a bad beginning,” McCain said Sunday of the legislative process that resulted in the $787 billion stimulus bill recently passed by Congress. “It was a bad beginning because it wasn’t what we promised the American people, what President Obama promised the American people – that we would sit down together.”

While McCain said he appreciated the fact that Obama came to Capitol Hill to speak with House Republicans about the stimulus bill. But, “that’s not how you negotiate a result.” Instead, “you sit down in a room with competing proposals” and “almost all of our proposals went down on a party-line vote”

“I hope the next time we will sit down together and conduct truly bipartisan negotiations. This was not a bipartisan bill.” (Source: CNN)

What he is really trying to say is that even though the Republicans suffered a crushing defeat in the last election, even though the American public resoundingly said no more of this Neocon nonsense, that the Obama administration should just bend over and take it in the rear again. He is making it clear that even though the new administration is doing everything it can to appease the far right, that they will never agree with anything the Democrats propose. They are the world’s sorest losers. The keyword being losers. For eight years the American people and the rest of the world’s citizens endured the arrogance and ignorance of the Bush administration. They voted for change, not more of the same crap. Endless war, soaring deficits and eroding rights.

“You sit down in a room with competing proposals,” McCain says. No, John, you sit down in a room with competing proposals. That room is called Congress. The President simply makes the proposals and you are supposed to debate them in the House and Senate. Remember, Obama is not a Senator anymore, he is the President. And about those promises he made to the American people. He promised change. He is changing the Executive Branch, it us up to the Legislative Branch to either get on board or face defeat in the next election.

And all that talk of bipartisanship. It is obvious the Republicans are not interested in bipartisanship. Obama should just say, okay, we tried. He should borrow a page from the Bush administration and totally ignore the other side of the aisle. Get down to business and pass the legislation necessary to clean up the mess he inheirated.

To borrow a quote from your beloved Bush, “Who cares what you think?”

In a bold move today President Obama took steps to limit the salaries of top executives who receive taxpayer bailout money. He is suggesting a cap of $500,000. The decision is a result of the obviously out of control executives who have been issuing bonus and other perks to their failing businesses and partners. Of course the neanderthals of the Republican side of the aisles are protesting this action. They want us to stay out of business, unless it is to bail out their criminally stupid cronies in the banking industry.

A lot of us working stiffs out here are glad to see it. The obscene amounts of money these people made for wrecking our economy and stealing our retirements is sickening. While we, the working taxpayers work our asses off to straighten out the mess they’ve gotten us into the banking executives have taken our money and had one big party. We should not only cap their salaries, we should recoup the losses these companies have experienced from the pockets of these malfeasance’s who have run them into the ground. Then lock the bastards up for being criminally stupid.

Last year’s “shameful” handout of $18 billion in Wall Street bonuses “is exactly the kind of disregard for the costs and consequences of their actions that brought about this crisis: a culture of narrow self-interest and short-term gain at the expense of everything else,” Obama said to reporters at the White House.

“For top executives to award themselves these kinds of compensation packages in the midst of this economic crisis isn’t just bad taste — it’s a bad strategy — and I will not tolerate it. We’re going to be demanding some restraint in exchange for federal aid — so that when firms seek new federal dollars, we won’t find them up to the same old tricks,” the president added.

Under Obama’s plan, companies that want to pay their executives more than $500,000 will have to do so through stocks that cannot be sold until the companies pay back the money they borrow from the government. (Source: CNN)

Of course the Grand Obstructionists Partyers are saying, “but all the good talent will go elsewhere if they don’t get their benefits and perks!” If they were any good at their jobs then these companies wouldn’t have failed in the first place. The CEOs and CFOs are all a bunch of greedy crooks who killed, plucked and ate the golden goose. We should outsource their jobs to some $5.00 a day laborer in India and recoup the losses we’ve been paying. The day laborer couldn’t possibly do any worse.

Campbell Brown over at CNN had some good suggestions. Starting with something as simple as accountability of the taxpayers funds these miscreants are spending.

All the books must be opened and any company taking another penny must consent to an audit, waiving any legal right to block the government from stepping in.

We have the right to know what they are doing and how to keep all this from happening again.

And what about penalties going forward, real penalties for some of the outrageous behavior we’ve seen?

Misuse of bailout money must be punished if executives decide it’s more important to, say, redecorate their offices or give each other bonuses or go on some boondoggle junket, than to truly try and keep their companies afloat.

The bailout conditions must be unconditional, zero-tolerance, real accountability this time. That’s what we hope to hear from the president tomorrow. (Source: CNN)

These failing banks should have never been bailed out. They wanted a free market and they had one. But as soon as their bad investments caught up with them they whinned for help. Well a free market also allows bad businesses and stupid managers the right to fail. We should have let them go under. The results could not have been any worse than they are now. At least we wouldn’t have thrown away our money so these bastards could go on junkets to Las Vegas and given themselves huge bonuses of taxpayer’s dollars.

I just got another one of those opinion surveys from the Office of Harry Reid, Majority Leader of the House. You know the ones. They are thinly disguised pleas for money. Every time I get one of these surveys or emails from Congress Critters begging for my hard earned cash it just pisses me off. What the hell is wrong with these people? We pay them a good salary, $169,300 for senators and representatives. The Speaker earns more, $212,100. Plus we provide them with the best health care plan available. Something many of us don’t have. Yet they continue to ask for more.

So, here we are, in the middle of a Depression the result of poor legislating on the part of our Congress. Businesses across the country are laying off workers and our hired help in Washington bickers and procrastinates while their employers, us, suffer the consequences of their stupidity and greed. We pay these goons too much. They should be making minimum wage for the lousy jobs they are doing. We should cancel their health insurance while we’re at it. You know, share the pain.

Don’t these people make enough off the bribery they collect from all those Washington lobbyist? Are they blind? They are certainly out of touch with the real world. They are more than willing to spend our every last dime to bail out their cronies and special interests, but refuse to do anything to ease the pain of the work force. You know, the “fundamentals” of our economy. Well the “fundamentals” are getting pretty fed up with the whole mess that is Washington. Quit begging for more, go to work and stay the hell out of my wallet.

Beside “Go To Hell” Harry I’m not even a Democrat. I’m a Libertarian. I guess you’re just an equal opportunity panhandler.

In the final days of the Bush Administration their intelligence sources were stretched to the limit finding out the truth about Flight 1549. They concluded it was terrorists and this is the photographic proof. It just proves we are still in danger and President Obama better be on the alert.
Many members of the previous administration are convinced that they were again able to deter another “terrist” attack on the homeland. They recommended that all migratory birds clear customs before being allowed into the Republic. Meanwhile the full forces of the CIA are focusing on finding out the real target of these obvious terrorists.

Life is good for Frogs in India! Every year young girls marry frogs to ward off evil and diseases.
But then, like every where else, some damn government bureaucrat has to step in and screw things up.

Villupuram district collector R Palaniswamy told TOI that he had deputed a team led by the district social welfare officer to visit the village and submit a detailed report. “The district administration proposes to evolve comprehensive schemes to motivate and enlighten the villagers against such evil and ignorant practises,” he said. But all these years the strange practice has been going on unchecked.
Sooner or later this kind of discrimination has to end.

I don’t know about the rest of my boomer buddies, but I’m getting awfully tired of a bunch of these new cusper generation running us down. It seems like all these lap top hugging do nothings have nothing better to do than blame the entire world situation on my generation. But I ask what have they done? All the great innovations of the past thirty years were brought about by the boomers. Then they try to move the markers to include those few creative people born in the 1950s to include them into their imagined “generation”. The cuspers seem to believe that these great social inventions have always been here. Get a clue morons.

As baby boomers lose their authority and appeal, generational power is shifting one notch down: to cuspers (born roughly 1954-1965), who arrived in style in 2008 with their first truly major figure, Barack Obama (born 1961).

George W. Bush, born in 1946 at the start of the postwar baby boom for which his generation is named, will leave office with the lowest approval ratings since Richard Nixon was president. As Thomas Friedman has written, Bush epitomizes what’s now seen as “The Greediest Generation.”

Who’s to blame for the economy going into serious decline? (Source: CNN)

So who do these airheads think voted Obama in anyway? How do they think this country got to the place in history that a black man became a viable presidential candidate? The decline, moron, is because of political complacency, something the boomers have never been. And Obama, well do you think that if we hadn’t marched and demonstrated for civil rights in the 1960s he would be our president elect today?

So what have the so-called cuspers given us? Generation Y of course.

After two intense years of campaign ups and downs for both major U.S. political parties, the nation has finally settled on a president. Although initially, Obama’s victory brings celebrations for supporters, experts say the let-down that voters of each side may feel after the campaign is akin to postpartum depression. (Source: CNN)

But cheer up junkies! In a few weeks Sara Palin will begin campaigning for 2012 and the cycle will start all over again.
